About
The Artist

Artistic creation is in the genes Colby Adam Matolcsy Martel, a young artist from western Maine with Down syndrome. His grandfather was the the Hungarian Fine Arts Professor Lajos Matolcsy (1905-1982).
Colby has been painting and drawing almost daily since he was a toddler with his relentless desire to experience and explore his senses. Working with artistic mediums allows him to completely submerge in a fascinating array of sensory experiences that produces beautiful works of art.
